28th Annual Meeting of the Histiocyte Society - London, UK
It is with great pleasure that the Histiocyte Society invites you to London, England for its Twenty-Eighth Annual Meeting. London, one of the world’s great cities, also hosts the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. Our meeting venue is the Congress Centre, a state-of-the-art meeting facility conveniently located in the heart of London’s West End neighborhood and a quick 3-minute walk from the Tube. A variety of housing options at various price points are available in the immediate vicinity of the Conference Centre.
This year’s invited speakers include an outstanding Symposium on HLH that is being organized. Other educational sessions include updates on ongoing Society-sponsored clinical trials, and the interactive and always-entertaining poster session. This year’s social events include this year’s meeting venue and our annual Banquet at the historic Banqueting House, where Charles I both dined and died, featuring a main hall ceiling painted by Peter Paul Rubens.
While you are in London, we hope that you will sample the many outstanding cultural opportunities conveniently located near the meeting site in the heart of London’s West End, such as a visit to the magnificent British Museum in nearby Russell Square, and a show in London’s outstanding West End theatre district.
We are very grateful to Vasanta Nanduri, the local host of this year’s Society meeting, for her many hours of hard work in planning and organizing this year’s meeting, and to our sponsor, the Histiocytosis Association, without whose generous support this meeting would not be possible.
See you in London!
Jim Whitlock, President, Histiocyte Society
